NOTE: Pilots should use standardized terminology as
indicated in the FLIP Flight Information Handbook when
making a pilot report (e.g., trace, light, moderate, or
heavy icing). Also, use frequency table as appropriate.

NOTE: OPNAV 3710.7 encourages the use of flight weather packets for
extended flights.
A. Should be requested at least 2 hours prior to the weather brief,
preferably 24 to 48 hours prior
