CONCLUSION
In formation flight, the wingman needs to be aware of not only what he’s
supposed to do, but he must also be aware of what the lead’s procedures are so
he can anticipate what the flight should do next. If you learn these procedures
well, you will have the confidence you need on some cold, dark night when you
go NORDO approaching bingo fuel, and you have to hook up with someone for
help making your approach.
