site location, depending upon availability
(1) TACAN bearing/DME using most applicable station
(2) Bearing/range from home base (use Homeplate waypoint)
(3) Actual LAT/LONG from the MFD DATA/Aircraft Display page

Recovery
a.
Brief helo and remainder of SAR team
(1) Number and physical condition of survivor(s)
(2) Distance to survivor(s) from a known geographic checkpoint
(3) Terrain description
(4) Location of each survivor and crash site
(i)
TACAN bearing/DME using most applicable station
(ii) Bearing/range from home base (use Homeplate waypoint)
(iii) Actual LAT/LONG from the MFD DATA/Aircraft Display page
(5) Altitude of recovery area
(6) Wind speed and direction
(7) Describe survivor(s) signal devices
(8) Describe ingress/egress routes
(9) Emergency safe landing areas
b.
Direct survivor(s) to
(1) Prepare and ignite smokes
(2) Vector helo if necessary
(3) Retain helmet for recovery
