B. Descent procedures

Lead
a.
Return-to-base (RTB) procedures IAW local course rules
b.
Reduce power to no less than 80 percent
c.
Make decision on rate of descent; pass signal to extend speed
brakes as appropriate
d.
Approximately 1,000 ft above assigned altitude
(1) Smoothly change to level flight
(2) Pass signal to retract speed brakes, if extended
