Engineering Review
NOTE: HYD 2 RESET might not be
enabled for up to 10 seconds after the
VOLTS gauge on the power management
panel is in the green range (24-29 volts
DC). The ADR will not function below
22.5 volts DC, and in the T-45A the ADR
BIT takes up to 10 seconds.

ENSURE BLEED VALVE CLOSED
Close Bleed Valve
NOTE: Bleed valve closure can be
confirmed by noting rpm increased
approximately 3% and EGT decreased by
50 degrees C from previous IDLE
indications.
CAUTION: Secure engine if bleed valve
closure cannot be confirmed.
NOTE: Idle speed varies depending on
engine loading, air bleeds, and ambient
conditions--55 +/- 2% rpm at sea level and
will increase 1% for each 1,500 ft above
sea level.
a.
Bleed air valve should close
(61 +/- 4%)
b.
When bleed air valve closes, starting
sequence terminates and engine
stabilizes at idle
(1) RPM: 55 +/- 2% at sea level
(2) EGT: maximum 450 degrees C
(3) Fuel flow: approximately 400 pph
NOTE: Failure of the bleed valve
to close will result in approximately
25% thrust loss.
