T-45A hydraulic system overview
Lesson Organization
A.
T-45A has two independent hydraulic systems:
Simplified Hydraulic System Block
HYD 1 and HYD 2. Each system contains its

engine-driven pump (EDP).
HYD 1 System
1.
HYD 1 provides hydraulic pressure to
power the flight controls (ailerons and
stabilator) and the general services.

2.
HYD 2 provides hydraulic pressure to

3.
Maximum normal operating pressure for
each system is 3000 PSI

provides emergency hydraulic system pressure
which, in case of a failure of HYD 2 EDP,
provides pressure to the flight controls. The
emergency system is integral to the HYD 2
system.
