T-45A UJPT, E2-C2, ADV, & IUT Eng-05
Fuel System
(1) Fed by bleed air from high-pressure
fifth stage of the high-pressure
(2) Filtered and regulated to 6 psi
above ambient by tank pressure
control valve
(3) Pressure air supply is connected
to fuel transfer line at pylon fuel/air
valve to pressurize fuel tanks
NOTE: The pylon fuel/air valves
would also provide pressure for
fuel transfer of external fuel into
fuselage bag in the event of future
installation of drop tanks.
(4) Dual datum relief valve prevents
over-pressure damage to fuel
tanks and structure
(5) Air pressure switch senses pres-
surization loss
(6) Datum air (RAM air)
(a) Enters through inward venting
line protruding through
fuselage right skin
(b) Provides air pressure slightly
above ambient pressure to
positive value if bleed air
(PSIG = pressure above
ambient)
