whether emergency or normal gear
extension is used.

LDG GEAR DOOR caution light:
amber light on when any hydraulically
operated gear door (forward doors for
NLG and inner doors for MLG) is not
closed and locked during either gear-
up or gear-down cycles
WARNING: The forward nose gear
doors will retract and create a
safety hazard to ground personnel
if:
1. The emergency gear handle is
not stowed properly
2. The nose gear safety pin is
removed and
3. Either battery is energized
NOTE: The LDG GEAR DOOR
caution light will remain on during
emergency landing gear extensions.

WHEELS warning light/landing gear
warning tone: red light flashes (and
wheels warning tone sounds)
(1) When gear handle not down,
throttle position less than
95% N2 rpm position, and either of
the following exists
(a) Aircraft below 7,200 ft MSL
(may occur as high as
9,800 ft MSL) and airspeed
below 170 KIAS
(b) Either FLAPS/SLATS lever is
not in the UP position
