Hydraulic System
without starting engine or applying
external hydraulic pressure (wheel
brakes must be operative prior to
towing aircraft)
(2) Physical
(a) Fixed displacement pump
(b) Detachable handle
LECTURE NOTES
The hand pump is located on the aft fuselage, right
side, on aircraft with inlet fuel tanks, BUNO 163647
through 165062. The hand pump is operated with a
breaker bar with a 1/2-inch drive, 3-inch extension
through an access that is labeled HYD HAND PUMP.
In addition, the ground lock pins are stowed in the map
case on aircraft with inlet fuel tanks.

HYD 1 operational characteristics 1.4.8.2.1
1.
Input power: supplied by EDP
a.
EDP receives hydraulic fluid from HYD
1 reservoir under low pressure
b.
EDP produces output of 3,000 psi

1660 +/- 110 psi. When HYD 1
pressure rises above 2000 psi, HYD 1
caution light goes out
