AC power system: consists of two identical,
500 watt, 26/115 VAC, single phase,
400 Hz inverters; two 26 VAC buses; and
two 115 VAC buses

DC and AC malfunctions
a.
Generator failure: can be described as
either undervoltage or overvoltage
condition
(1) Undervoltage: If 28 VDC genera-
tor bus voltage falls to 25 volts or
less, undervoltage unit
deenergizes and disables one
inverter. GENERATOR warning
light, AC INVERTER caution light,
CONTR AUG caution light, and
FUEL PRESS caution light (after
30 sec) illuminated
NOTE: On aircraft 165093 and UP, and
those from 163600 thru 165092 with AFC
165 installed, the AC INVERTER caution
light will not illuminate unless an AC
inverter has actually failed. Nonessential
AC buses, however, are disabled.
(2) Overvoltage: if generator output
exceeds 30.2 VDC, overvoltage
unit takes generator off-line, creat-
ing an undervoltage condition and
indications as described above
(3) Generator reset: reset may be
attempted by moving generator
switch momentarily to GEN RE-
SET
