(a) When set to CARRIER, AOA
indexer and approach lights
flash when aircraft is in
landing configuration and
hook is not down
(b) When set to FIELD, above
function is bypassed and
lights are steady
NOTE: The HOOK BYPASS
switch does not affect the
operation of the arresting
hook. Instead, it controls the
operation of the AOA indexer
and approach lights and
serves as a reminder to lower
the hook during arrested
landings.
