DOUBLE ANGLE OFF BOW METHOD)
C. TACAN/VOR tracking/intercepting procedures 2.7.5.1.2.1
1.
Inbound (Two methods)
NOTE: When determining which intercept is most appropriate, consideration
should be given to the aircraft's distance from the NAVAID. Radial spread and
wind affect intercept closure rate which is a factor in the selection and
application of an inbound intercept. (30 degree intercept away and 45 degree
intercept close in)
a.
Double angle off bow (close to station)
(1) Tune and identify station
(2) Set desired course in course select window
