A. Station passage indications 2.7.5.1.7.1
1.
VOR
a.
#1 bearing pointer will lock at the 3 o'clock position
b.
CDI will reflect bearing pointer movement
c.
TO-FROM indicator will disappear from view and then indicate FROM
with a valid signal
d.
Red NAV warning flag will appear
e.
For timing purposes station passage is when the TO-FROM indicator
makes the first positive change from TO to FROM
2.
TACAN
a.
Minimum DME - AGL Altitude divided by 6,000
b.
When DME stops decreasing
NOTE: When making course changes over a station and DME is
available, the pilot is expected to begin a turn before station passage
so as to roll out on the desired outbound course.
