Air-to-Air Data Entry
If you need to change the wingspan or the air-to-
air aiming mode after post-start checks or in the

wingspan. The aiming mode and wingspan are
retained in memory. After entering the air-to-air
data, you can return the HUD to the navigation
master mode by pressing the MODE key twice
(A/G master mode is selected on the first press
of the MODE button and the NAV master mode
is selected with the second press). Also select
the desired MFD display for takeoff and transit
to the operating area. Once in the operation
area, select the air-to-air master mode by
pressing the MODE button on the DEP. The
aiming mode and wingspan you selected during
post-start are displayed. In addition to selecting
the air-to-air master mode, place the VCR
switch in ON or AUTO, as briefed.
