I4201 and I4202 may be flown in any order.
b. Each flight in this block should consist of a minimum of
four approaches and holding.
c. I4202 should focus on no-gyro approaches. The following
is the minimum number of approaches to be completed on this
event:
2 TACAN failed directional gyro approaches.
1 VOR failed directional gyro approach.
2 GCA failed directional gyro approaches.

TACAN procedures, VOR procedures, NDB procedures, cockpit
management - COMM/NAV organization and use of navigation
equipment (DME/ADF/HSI/CDI), publications carried on RI
flights, NDZ stereotype flight plans, weather requirements
for RI flights (RWOP, 3710.7T), organization of SMA
TACAN/VOR/NDB flights, eastern RI training area, altitude
restrictions when cleared for the approach, approach brief,
terminal procedures, required equipment for instrument
flight (NATOPS, 3710.7T), and common student errors on
TACAN/VOR/NDB flights.
