2. Syllabus Note. This event will be an evaluation of Basic
Instrument skills and abilities involving a representative cross
section of maneuvers previously presented and/or discussed in
the Basic Instrument stage.

Required equipment for IMC; battery relay light; NOTAMS -
Class (I, II), D, L, FDC NOTAM codes; Flight Information
Handbook; lost communications - NDZ on top; icing;
WW/CAWW/convective SIGMET/AIRMET; sources of weather
information; airspeed limits; standby generator minimum
airspeed; altimeter error; attitude gyro malfunction (IMC);
standby battery; turbulence penetration; VFR orientation in
eastern instrument area; backup NAVAIDs; and any emergency
procedure or aircraft limitation.
