CURRICULUM GUIDELINES
1. Sequencing. The T-45A Total System (TS) Strike Flight
Curriculum is comprised of 15 flight stages. Training events are
sequenced in nine distinct modules which integrate academic
instruction, flight support lectures, and simulator and aircraft
instruction. Flight support lectures should be scheduled a
minimum of one day prior to the first simulator or flight event
in the stage supported by the flight support lecture. SNAs will
be scheduled for the first simulator/flight in stage within two
weeks of receiving the initial flight support lecture for that
stage in Phase II. After two weeks SNAs will be given a
refresher lecture. After the refresher lecture SNAs may be
scheduled for the first simulator/flight event the same day.
Phase I modules must be flown in order except as specified below.
In Phase II, students will not fly in more than one of the
following stages at a time: WEAPONS, ACM, or CQ. The general
sequencing guidelines follow:
PHASE I
MOD 00:
ASI lessons may be sequenced in any order.
MOD 01:
ENG/AERO/METRO may be sequenced in any order.
ENG-20, METRO must be completed prior to
INAV.
CR-01, ACT-01, ORM-01, SEAT-01, and CO-01
should be completed prior to CO-02S.
ARMS-01 may be completed at any time during
the syllabus.
MOD 02:
BIFP-01 through BIFP-05, BI-01S and BI-02S
should be completed after CO-03S and prior to
EP-01S.
RI-09S may be flown prior to RI-07 and RI-08.
CR-02 and CR-03X should be completed prior to
FAMFP-01.
CO-04 and CO-05 should be scheduled after
EP-03S, prior to FAM-01S.
EP-06SX and OCF-01S may be scheduled any time
after FAM-12 but prior to FAM-17X.
FAM-01S though FAM-07SX shall be flown prior
to FAM-08.
FAM-08 may not be scheduled prior to
completing RI-13X.
Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures
Standardization (NATOPS) Examination, OCF-
01S, and EP-06SX shall be completed prior to
FAM-17X.
MOD 03:
AN-01S and AN-02S may be flown after
completion of FAM-13.
EP-07S should be completed prior to AN-07.
IR-06S may be flown prior to IR-04/IR-05.
FORM-11S and FORM-13S may be flown any time
after FORM-05S.
EP-08S should be completed prior to FORM-08X.
