3.25. WEPS 3 DIVISION
3.25.1. Fly this flight as either a 3-plane or 4-plane to Shelby Range. If Shelby is unavailable,
then utilize Camden ridge MOA. The student listed in the lead aircraft on the flight schedule is
not necessarily the Lead. The Lead IP designates the Lead Student at brief time, no earlier.
Therefore, all students are required to have a solid understanding of Division and Range
Procedures. Additionally, the lead is passed to Dash Two on the RTB. The preparation prior to
the brief requires team effort. The most common stumbling block on the WEPS 3 flight is
communication. Strong SA is paramount in ensuring check-ins/outs on frequencies are
conducted as painlessly as possible.
