3.22.1.2. Section Approach
3.22.1.2.1. Lead coordinates with ATC for individual section approaches should weather
necessitate this type of recovery. Once again, these procedures are thoroughly covered in
reference (d) as well as the "Section Weapons" portion of this book.
3.23. LANDING / POST-LANDING
3.23.1. Landing roll-out responsibilities are the same as in the FAM stage.
3.23.2. Once clear of the runway, Lead Student switches to Ground frequency and calls for taxi.
Once the Wingmen are clear, each respective student switches to Ground frequency and waits for
the check-in. Lead Student watches the Wingmen (primarily Dash Four) to determine when to
do the check-in.
3.23.3. When all Wingmen clear the taxiway, Lead initiates a switch to Base frequency, checks
the Wingmen in and calls maintenance with the aircraft status. Two, Three and Four then call
maintenance with aircraft status. After the status of all aircraft is passed to maintenance, Lead
calls Base with the flight time. It is imperative the Lead has SA as to the Wingmen's positions
during the post-landing phase to ensure proper compliance.
3.23.4. Post-Landing checks and Shut Down Procedures are the same as FAMs.
