In the preceding example, aircrew can visualize target aspect as the angle from the cut to AO,
or 30R TA. The collision course for this set-up can be visualized as a line located from the AO
line by the same amount and direction as the target aspect. In relation to the fighter's nose, 30
right of the angle off (10L) is 20 right of the fighter's nose, or collision course is 20R. Looking
at the formula again:
Cut to AO to CC
Cut to AO = AO to CC
This method is referred to as "bouncing the ball." To determine the CCC, bounce the ball
from cut to AO, then bounce it in the same direction and distance to discover the CCC.
