806. WEAPONS PATTERN VOICE COMM
In the wagon wheel weapons pattern, the students will make standard UHF and ICS calls. The
pattern location calls (off safe, abeam etc.) are made relative to the aircraft's geographic location
in the pattern over the ground. As a result, these calls are identical for the 10 and 20-degree
patterns. The dive run calls on the other hand, are altitude dependent and therefore are called at
different altitudes depending on the dive angle flown.
