POINT-TO-POINT NAVIGATION
It is possible to receive a clearance direct to a TACAN fix enroute, or directly to a holding fix or
an initial approach fix in a terminal area. The procedure used to navigate directly to a TACAN
fix is called "point-to-point navigation".
To complete a point-to-point, one only needs to know the present and the "target" (assigned)
fixes. The procedure is to envision the navigation situation on the BDHI, and:
1.
Envision the two fixes (present and target).
2.
Visualize a line connecting the fixes.
