CHAPTER TWO
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES (SIMULATOR)
200. INTRODUCTION
This chapter contains a description of ATM stage Emergency Procedures (EP) events, as
conducted in 2F101 Flight Simulators.
Due to limited simulator capabilities, the EP events must be conducted in the PILOT mode. This
will require the student to fly the simulator and execute all checklists and procedures for each
Emergency Procedure encountered. The student will conduct the flight in the same manner as
phase one of the BI simulators except that the simulator will be in the PILOT mode requiring the
student to start up and fly the simulator. During the flight, the student will encounter a variety of
Emergencies that will require NATOPS knowledge and proper decision-making.

201. GENERAL EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
During 2F101 EP events, the following general procedures will apply:
The student will:
1.  Know emergency procedures and how to expeditiously locate the EP in the NATOPS
Pilot's Pocket Checklist (NPPC).
2.
Operate the 2F101 in accordance with T-2C NATOPS.
3.
Wear gloves in the simulator (personal issue).
4.
Wear a torso harness in the simulator.
5.
Wear G-suit in the simulator (personal issue).
6.
Wear SV-2 survival vest in the simulator.
7.
Perform as a SOLO pilot.
Simulator instruction during EP events is intended to improve student knowledge and
performance in the following areas:
