1015. BFM FLIGHTS 4, 5, AND 6X
The final three flights of the T-2C syllabus are composed of identical maneuvers. The student's
proficiency in the procedures and maneuvers is expected to increase. Likewise, student tactical
responsibility during the engagements will gradually increase.
BFM - 4,5,6X Conduct
Once established in the assigned working area, the section will execute:
1.
Engaging turns.
2.
Defenses from a perch set up (2 for each student).
3.
1 V 1 engagements (4).
4.
RTB.
All procedures, maneuvers, and principles for sortie completion are introduced during the first
three BFM flights. Reviewing the pertinent sections of chapter 9 and 10 before and after the
later BFM flights will pay dividends in student performance. Thorough preparation will ensure
tactical success in the syllabus and make this most challenging phase of instruction a lot of fun.
