SNFO/SWSO VOICE COMMUNICATIONS
When flying one of these aircraft (e.g., a T-34C), switch to Departure when comfortably
airborne.
SNFO/SWSO:
"Pensacola Departure, BUCK 710, airborne,
passing 200 for 8000."
DEPARTURE:
"BUCK 710, Departure, radar contact, climb and
maintain 9000."
SNFO/SWSO:
"BUCK 710, climbing (or continuing) to 9000."
6. Returning to Navy Pensacola after the enroute portion of the flight and checking in with
Pensacola Approach at 9000:
SNFO/SWSO:
"Pensacola Approach, BUCK 710, 9000,
information Delta, Request TACAN full stop,
Navy Pensacola."
APPROACH:
"BUCK 710, Pensacola Approach, cleared for the
TACAN 7L at Navy Pensacola, descend and
maintain 5000."
NOTE
If conducting a SINGLE approach to a full stop, consideration
should be given to including what approach is desired along with
words to indicate a full stop. This will assist Approach control in
minimizing communications, especially when they are busy.
When requesting holding or multiple approaches use "request."
SNFO/SWSO:
"Pensacola Approach, BUCK 710, 9000
information Delta, request."
APPROACH:
"BUCK 710, say your request."
SNFO/SWSO:
"BUCK 710 request multiple turns in holding at
SYDNY followed by TACAN, full stop, NPA."
APPROACH:
"BUCK 710, proceed to SYDNY, hold as
published, descend and maintain 3000, advise
when ready for the approach."
SNFO/SWSO:
"BUCK 710, leaving 9000 for 3000, direct
SYDNY."

"Pensacola Approach, BUCK 710, ready for the
approach."
APPROACH:
"BUCK 710, maintain 2200 till SYDNY, cleared
TACAN 7 Left approach."
SNFO/SWSO:
"BUCK 710, leaving 3000 for 2200, cleared
TACAN 7 Left."
