INSTRUMENT COMMUNICATIONS/TACAN APPROACH
1.
Clearance Delivery call:
SNFO/SWSO:
"Sherman Clearance Delivery, BUCK 710, IFR,
Navy Pensacola."
CLNCE:
"BUCK 710 is cleared to Navy Pensacola as filed.
Turn left to 350. Climb and maintain 8000.
Expect 9000 ten minutes after departure.
Departure frequency 270.8, squawk 4110."
SNFO/SWSO:
"BUCK 710 is cleared to Navy Pensacola as filed.
Turn left to 350. Climb and maintain 8000.
Expect 9000 ten minutes after takeoff, departure
270.8, squawk 4110."
CLNCE:
"BUCK 710 read back correct."
2.
Switch to Base when finished with pretaxi checklist.
SNFO/SWSO:
"Base, BUCK 710,
BASE:
"BUCK 710, go ahead."
SNFO/SWSO:
"BUCK 710, taxi outbound, side number 084."
BASE:
"BUCK 710, roger."
3.
Switch to Ground after turning on northbound on ramp area.
SNFO/SWSO:
"Sherman Ground, BUCK 710, taxi information
ALPHA."
GROUND:
"BUCK 710, taxi to runway 7 Right, altimeter
30.10."
SNFO/SWSO:
"BUCK 710, 30.10, to taxi runway 7 Right."
4.
While at the hold short and complete with the takeoff checklist, call Tower on button 4.
SNFO/SWSO:
"Sherman Tower, BUCK 710, takeoff."
TOWER:
"BUCK 710, taxi across runway 7 Right, taxi into
position and hold runway 7 Left."
SNFO/SWSO:
"BUCK 710, taxi across runway 7 Right, position
and hold runway 7 Left."
TOWER:
"BUCK 710, winds 050 at 7, change to Departure,
cleared for takeoff ."
SNFO/SWSO:
"BUCK 710, cleared for takeoff 7 Left, switching
when airborne."
5. Some single piloted aircraft prefer to stay on Tower frequency during the takeoff to
facilitate a call to Tower during an aborted takeoff or emergency immediately after takeoff.
