CONTACT COMMUNICATIONS
Departing NAS Pensacola
1.
After turning on the avionics master switch, checking the take command switch, turning on
all radios, NAVAIDs, and copying ATIS, call Clearance Delivery on button 2.
NOTE
Accomplish these items in accordance with the aircraft checklists.
SNFO/SWSO:
"Sherman Clearance Delivery, KATT 810,
request VFR to the west, 1+30 enroute."
CLNCE
"KATT 810, Sherman Clearance, you're cleared
VFR to the west as filed, maintain VFR, departure
frequency 372.0, squawk 4020."
SNFO/SWSO:
"KATT 810, is cleared VFR to the west as filed,
departure frequency 372.0 squawk 4020."
2. After completing the pretaxi checklist, call Base on button 19 for VT-10 and button 20
for VT-4.
SNFO/SWSO:
"Base, KATT 810,
BASE:
"KATT 810, go ahead."
SNFO/SWSO:
"KATT 810, taxi outbound, side number 084."
BASE:
"KATT 810, roger."
3.
After turning northbound in ramp area, call Ground on button 3.
SNFO/SWSO:
"Sherman Ground, KATT 810, taxi, information
Alpha."
GROUND
"KATT 810, taxi to runway 7 right, altimeter
29.92."
SNFO/SWSO:
"KATT 810, taxi to runway 7 right, altimeter
29.92."
4.
While at the hold short and complete with the takeoff checklist, call Tower on button 4.
SNFO/SWSO:
"Sherman Tower, KATT 810, takeoff, VFR."
TOWER:
"KATT 810, taxi across runway 7 right, hold-
short runway 7 left."
SNFO/SWSO:
"KATT 810, taxi across runway 7 right, hold-
short runway 7 left."
TOWER:
"KATT 810, taxi into position and hold runway 7
left."
