Thus, if you want to maintain a certain course, you must adjust your heading. In Figure 16,
we want to maintain a course of 056. If we head 056 and do not compensate for the wind, our
aircraft will be blown to the right and our track will be different than a 056.
By not crabbing into the wind, but instead periodically turning to update your point-to-point,
you end up flying a curved path instead of a straight one as shown in Figure 17.
