(d) Descend 1000' at 500 FPM while executing a right SRT for 360 (2 min.)
1. 450 ft-lbs. torque (approx.)
2. 150 KIAS
(e) Transition to straight and level (1 min.)
1. 650 ft-lbs. torque (approx.)

Bravo Pattern. The Bravo pattern is a level Charlie pattern with 1 minute legs, constant airspeed of
210.
150 KIAS, and no configuration changes. Refer to Figure 2-2.
211.
Charlie Pattern. The purpose of the Charlie pattern is to develop fundamental instrument skills in a
challenging maneuver. The importance of scanning the attitude indicator, maintaining constant airspeeds
with nose attitude, the proper use of the altimeter for pitch when airspeed is a variable, and turn needle for
SRT, should be emphasized throughout the pattern.
(1) Refer to Figure 2-2.
(a) Straight and level (1 min.)
1. 650 ft-lbs. torque (approx.)
2. 150 KIAS
(b) Climb 1000' at 667 FPM while executing a left SRT
for 270 (1.5 min)
1. 1000 ft-lbs. torque (approx.)
2. 150 KIAS
(c) Transition to straight and level (2 min.)
1. 1000 ft-lbs. torque
2. Airspeed will vary with altitude
(d) Maintain altitude and reduce airspeed to 150 KIAS
while executing a right SRT for 90 (30 secs.). Descend 1000' at 500 FPM continuing a right
SRT for 360 (2 min.)
1. 450 ft-lbs. torque (approx.)
2. 150 KIAS
(e) Climb 1000' at 500 FPM (2 min.)
1. 900 ft-lbs. torque (approx.)
2. 150 KIAS
(f) Transition to a level left SRT for 270 (1.5 min.)
1. 700 ft-lbs. torque (approx.)
2. 150 KIAS
(g) Climb 1000' at 500 FPM (2 min.)
