Wingman
(1) Turn toward inside of lead's turn using 45 to
60 degrees AOB, accelerating by lowering
nose slightly
(2) After 45 degrees of turn, pass about 2000 ft
aft and slightly below lead with 15-20
degree heading advantage and 25-30 kt
(max 50 kt) airspeed advantage
(3) Check and call lead's "Six clear"
e.
Lead
(1) Roll out after 90 degrees of turn
(2) After obtaining a visual on the wingman,
check his six and call, "Visual, six clear"
f.
Wingman: maneuver to be in combat spread by
decreasing AOB to 15-20 degrees and
adjusting nose attitude

Correctional procedures for turn away from wingman
a.
Wingman starts turn acute or close
(1) Before crossing lead's six: initially use
more AOB and less nose down to pass
2000 ft behind lead's six
(2) After crossing lead's six: use less AOB
than normal
b.
Wingman starts turn sucked
(1) Before crossing lead's six: initially use less
AOB than normal and lower nose to
increase airspeed
(2) While crossing lead's six: use more AOB
than normal to arrive on bearing
