Lead: give wing flash in direction of turn and

begin maneuver

Wingman: begin maneuver. Do not give "six

clear" call

NOTE: If wingman doesn't recognize wing flash

direction, assume turn away and begin

maneuver; otherwise, the section would be

separated and have difficulty getting back

together.

Why would you assume a turn away if you did not

see/recognize the wing flash?

ANSWER: The section would become separated and the

wingman might lose sight, making it more difficult to join-up

again.
