1.
Check that you have navigation control in
your cockpit
2.
Check that TACAN steering is selected
3.
Check for station identification
DME FAILURE
4.
Reset desired channel
5.
Cycle the TACAN control panel to OFF and
back ON
6.
Check with ATC to determine if the TACAN
is in operation, or select another TACAN
station that is known to be operating and
within range
7.
Use VOR (if available) or request radar
vectors
