ILS Procedures
T-45C IUT BIFP-06
MOTIVATION
This lesson will review the ILS components introduced in
INav and introduce you to ILS flight procedures used in
the T-45C. The requirement for you to be able to fly an
ILS approach with precision is important because the
only precision approach available at civilian and Air
Force fields where you may have to land is the ILS
approach. NAS Meridian is the only field in the normal
operating area that has GCA capability. The approach of
choice in emergency or instrument conditions at civilian
and Air Force fields is the ILS approach. Thorough
knowledge of ILS components and procedures is the first
step in achieving the needed precision.
OVERVIEW
After this lesson, you will have reviewed the basic
components of the ILS approach system and ILS
approach procedures.
