VOR bearing pointer will break lock in

incorporate a TO-FROM indicator, like

For timing purposes, station passage
is when the VOR bearing pointer
reappears following passage through
the cone-of-confusion

Minimum DME - AGL altitude divided
by 6,000

Point at which DME stops decreasing
NOTE: Due to the size of the TACAN
cone-of-confusion, it is possible to
pass over a TACAN station,
significantly to one side or the other
while transiting through the cone.
NOTE: When making course changes
over a station and DME is available,
the pilot is expected to begin a turn
before station passage so as to roll out
on the desired outbound course.
