Launch bar - CONDITION
Launch Bar
VIDEO NOTE: The launch bar
system consists of the launch bar
and actuator mechanism.
Remember that during launch, the
launch bar transfers the pressure
(torque) generated by the entire
mass of the aircraft multiplied by
the force of the accelerating
catapult to the frame of the
aircraft, making the launch bar a
critical inspection item.
Launch Bar Mechanism
VIDEO NOTE: Inspect the launch
bar and pivot mechanism for
Launch Bar "T"
cracks, distortion, or other
damage. Check the "T" for cracks
and damage.
