boom for looseness, cracks, or
other damage.

the right avionics access door and
the total temperature probe.

CONDITION
Since the total temperature probe
does get hot, some discoloration is
normal. Check it for damage such
as nicks or dents and loose/
missing attaching hardware.

VIDEO NOTE: The first major
inspection items in this area are the
nose landing gear, the nose wheelwell,
doors, and linkages.
VIDEO NOTE: Looking inside the
nose wheelwell, check all hydraulic
lines, connectors, and seals for
evidence of leakage (use your
flashlight, if necessary). Leakage
could be indicated by fresh hydraulic
fluid on equipment inside the wheelwell
or on the ground. Since oil attracts dirt
and dust, another indication could be
an accumulation of dirt in a place that
