Common errors by wingman
a.
Takeoff roll
(1) Problem: goes acute during roll due to power differential
with lead
Correction: anticipate power adjustments to maintain
bearing line
(2) Problem: goes sucked during roll due to failure to
anticipate power readjustments to maintain bearing line
Correction: add power and anticipate readjustment--
position might not be regained until after rotation
b.
Rotation and lift-off
(1) Problem: wingman stepped up over lead and sucked after
lift-off due to wingman's early rotation
Correction:
NOTE: Do not initiate a rate of descent
