Engine seizure may be preceded
by increasing vibration and sudden
drop in rpm. If necessary, throttle
setting may be increased to
recover lost power. Bearing loads
increase with reduced altitude.

Monitoring
a.
Oil differential switch measures
pressure differential between internal
signals CWS if oil differential pressure
drops below 10 psi for more than 10
seconds. There is no oil pressure
gauge in cockpit

Oil tank sight gauge monitored by
ground crew (aircrew for cross-country
flights)
c.
Minimum oil level for flight: 2 liters
(4.2 U.S. pints) below FULL mark.
Consumption is approximately 0.8 pints
(0.38 liters) per flight hour
