Aircraft system trouble
(1) Comply with NATOPS procedures
(2) Decide whether a divert is required
b.
Damaged aircraft
(1) Bird strike / Mid-air collision
(a) Aircraft controllable: Establish a shallow
climb of 5-10 degrees and slow down,
following established NATOPS
procedures for damaged aircraft
(b) Aircraft uncontrollable: Eject
2.
Places to divert
a.
Preplanned divert field
b.
Any authorized divert field if emergency is serious
enough but not enough to require ejection
I.
Aircraft uncontrollable below 10,000 AGL: Eject
