Deviations
a.
Climb to remain above obstructions to visibility
(1) Fog, dust, smoke, low clouds
(2) Do not exceed ceiling of route in AP/1B
b.
Alter course to avoid minor hazards on a leg
(1) Stay in training route structure if possible
(2) Slow to 250 KIAS if unable to stay within
route structure
3.
If you must, discontinue route (in order of priority)
a.
Remain VFR
b.
Proceed to destination
c.
Contact appropriate ATC
d.
Communicate position, altitude, and intentions
or request
