TAC TURN
In the TACF stage, all TAC turns were executed for 90 degrees of turn. In road recce, it will be used to
maneuver the section from 60 to 120 degrees. If the turn is closer to 120 degrees, the inside wingman will
have to begin the turn prior to the wingman's nose coming on his aircraft to prevent finishing sucked
(Figure 11). If the turn is closer to 60 degrees, the inside wingman will take a small cut toward the
outside wingman (20 to 30 degrees) to prevent going acute (Figure 12) . The inside wingman must then
time his reversal to come out of the turn in position.
