All student full-stop landings will be on centerline.
NIGHT FORMATION SIGNALS
Because hand signals are hard to see at night, radio calls are the primary means for signaling. Other
circumstances, such as NORDO, require using a flashlight or exterior lights to pass signals. Use the following
flashlight signals (Figure 49) under NORDO conditions:
Yes: repeatedly move the flashlight in a circular motion
No: repeatedly move the flashlight horizontally back and forth
HEFOE: Hold the flashlight close to the top of the canopy (Figure 50); then point toward the other aircraft and
present "dashes" to indicate the system affected:
