a.
Description: sudden, rapid displacement of the
aircraft's flight path in three axes
b.
Purposes: to confuse enemy and prevent him
from getting a good tracking solution; to avoid
ground fire; to avoid fragmentation patterns and
ricochets

Reconnaissance continued for more targets
7.
Restrictions
a.
No ordnance on board
b.
No offset pop-up maneuvers permitted by
students at low altitude, i.e., below minimum
recovery altitude for specified dive angle
NOTE: Offset pop-up maneuvers are to be
performed only on road recce flight events.
c.
No pop-up roll-ahead maneuvers permitted
d.
No dive attacks as taught in weapons delivery
e.
No reattacks or returning to attack targets
already passed (probability of getting hit by
AAA/SAM goes up tenfold)
