CHAPTER TWO
T-6A NAVIGATION
The last point specified on the route is the target. An equilateral triangle with 5 NM legs and the
base perpendicular to the inbound course will identify the target (Figure 2-1). Thus, the target
triangle cannot be drawn until course lines are plotted. The point prior to the target shall be
annotated with a square (Figure 2-1).

Point labels should be 1/4 to 1/2 inch in size such that prominent chart details are not hidden.
Labels will be aligned in relation to the inbound course to that turnpoint. For the first point of
the route, orient the label with the outbound course (Figure 2-2).
