T-6A NAVIGATION
CHAPTER TWO
214.
APPLY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO FRONT OF CHART
Now you are ready to sign your masterpiece. Print your name in the lower right hand corner in
black ink with your class number and the route designation (i.e., N5002). Near the middle of the
route, but outside of 5 NM from course line, sign your name in black ball point pen. After cross
checking your headings and the plotting of turnpoints, apply black ink to course lines, turnpoints,
and information in doghouses. Blue ink is used for CHUM data, Class B and C airspace, and
conflicting routes.
215.
APPLY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO BACK OF CHART
Paste or tape a copy of the VNAV route description (from Stereo Route Handout) and your
worksheet to the back of the chart. You may now trim your chart to make it more manageable in
flight, but remember to leave at least 20NM of chart coverage around all course lines and
turnpoints.
216.
SUMMARY
As you progress to your fleet aircraft, you will learn different ways to draw and annotate your
charts for low-level flight. However, the basics of course and distance measurement will stay the
same.
