STUDENT GUIDE FOR T-1A AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS

Cabin Rate of Climb Indicator - Located in the upper center portion of the CP's
instrument panel, displays cabin rate-of-climb or descent in FPM.

Cabin Pressure Differential Indicator - Located in the upper center portion of the CP's
instrument panel, displays the cabin's pressure differential altitude in feet and cabin pressure in
psi.
7.
Cabin Dump Valve - Located on the bottom left edge of the CP's instrument panel,
rapidly and completely depressurizes the cabin. Turning the red colored valve handle fully
counterclockwise opens the valve.
Electric Heat Subsystem
The EHS supplies electrically heated air through the air distribution system.
Electric Heat Subsystem Controls and Indicators
Auxiliary Temperature Control Switch
ELECTRIC HEAT 1 - Supplies power to the electric heater number one, thus supplying
heated air to the flight deck side window defog outlets, windshield defog outlets, and flight
deck floor outlets.
ELECTRIC HEAT 1 AND 2 - Supplies power to the electric heater number one and three
in the air distribution ducts, supplying the flight deck side window defog outlets,
windshield defog outlets, flight deck floor outlets, and the aft evaporator blower motor. In
addition, it supplies power to electric heater number two in the duct supply to the
glareshield outlets.
