T2 Emergency Escape System
8.0 TERMINAL OBJECTIVE: Recall the Canopy System and Emergency Escape Provisions
as to component location, operation and safety on the T2 aircraft in accordance with
applicable publications and without the use of instructional aids.
ENABLING OBJECTIVES
The student will:
8.1 State the minimum speed required for a safe ground level ejection.
8.2 State the three methods of canopy operation.
8.3 Recall the minimum nitrogen preload of the canopy actuator.
8.4 Recall the number of canopy jettison handles located internally.
8.5 State what altitude the aneroid power device is set to actuate for seat/man separation.
8.6 State what color the aneroid power device inspection window should indicate at field
elevation below 3,000 feet.
8.7 State what altitude the NES25A parachute is set to deploy.
8.8 Recall how the survival equipment is deployed.
8.9 Recall the number of safety pins provided to safety both election seats and canopy jettison
system.
8.10 State which seat can be ejected singularly.
8.11 Recognize the correct statement(s) concerning the command select system.
8.12 Recall what the gas line quick disconnects will be secured with.
