| CHAPTER TWO
SNFO/SWSO VOICE COMMUNICATIONS
Once the controller locates your aircraft on the radar screen and reports "radar contact", the
controller will clear you toward the VFR initial for the runway in use at NPA (Figure 2-4).
Course rules dictate that all aircraft will enter the airport traffic area visually via an entry point
(PT GOLF, PT LONG, BRONSON, X-RAY, or PICKENS GATE). Altitudes and headings will
be specified for you in the FLIGHT PREP class.
Figure 2-4 Runway in Use at NPA
ATC:
"BUCK 710, radar contact, proceed direct PT
GOLF, descend and maintain 2200."
SNFO/SWSO:
"BUCK 710, leaving 3500 for 2200, wilco."
As soon as the initial is in sight, report this to the controller:
SNFO/SWSO:
"Approach, BUCK 710, PT GOLF in sight."
ATC:
"BUCK 710, proceed direct to the initial, contact
TOWER."
SNFO/SWSO:

Once on top of the entry point, make the following call to the Tower:
SNFO/SWSO:
