covers the command not repeated, i.e., report
when you get to MARYS.)
12. The Aeronautical Information Manual requires the readback of altitude assignments and
vectors in the order given. You must also acknowledge the readback of any hold-short of
runway instructions:
a.
When vacating any previously assigned altitude/flight level for a new altitude/flight
level.
b.
When unable to climb/descend at a rate of at least 500 fpm.
c.
When a missed approach has been executed.
d.
When an altitude change will be made if operating on a clearance specifying VFR-on-
top.
e.
Change in the average TAS (at cruising altitude) when it varies by 5% or 10kts
(whichever is greater) from that filed in the flight plan.
f.
When encountering weather conditions that have not been forecast, or hazardous
weather conditions even if they have been forecast.
g.
The time and altitude upon reaching a holding fix or a point to which cleared.
h.
When leaving any assigned holding fix or point.
i.
Any information relating to the safety of flight.
j.
Any loss in controlled airspace of VOR or TACAN capability or impairment of
air/ground communications capability.

"HALF" is an acronym that will help you to remember readback
items.
