e. Angle-Off (Figure 5-4) (also known as heading crossing angle) is the heading
difference between the two aircraft. As Angle-Off decreases, the fuselages of the two aircraft
become more aligned. You will be reducing Angle-Off gradually throughout your Turning
Rejoin as you get closer to Lead. You need some Angle-Off early in the Rejoin to get closure
on Lead, but as you get closer, decrease Angle-Off to stabilize in Route, then move into
position.
